Logos and nonsuch

Logos can be fun or they can drive you crazy. They are not easy and one really has to think out of the box to be really good at designing them. These are just some of my most recent...but if I had a nickel for every logo I have designed, I'd have one big, giant pile of nickels!

Brochure Design & Computer production

I love designing brochures and annual reports, I love to organize things, I am a stickler for detail and just love production.This brochure is one of my favourites. It was for an Studio Tour that takes place every year in the Headwaters region of Ontario. Application: Illustrator, Photoshop and In-Design

ROP Ads and production

Just a sampling of hundreds of ROP's, newspaper and magazine ads that I created. These samples had additional 'headline art' to make the ads event specific while still retaining the look of the Walmart Brand. Production of the finished digital art included correlating information and photography from marketing, buyers, ad agencies and vendors, and handling last minute changes...all while working under tight print deadlines. Photo Art Direction

It was my responsibility to update the photo archive for fresh product for the weekly flyer. I worked with both a food photographer and food stylist to achieve an updated fresh and more appealing look for our fruit and vegetable product.

In store signing, especially seasonal signing was another project I enjoyed. We have the same holidays every year, and presenting a new concept for each year after year was a creative challenge. Christmas in July was nothing new! This poster was for Summer Crafts. Application: Illustrator

Label design

I designed many different styles of labels and packages. Coordinating information between suppliers, vendors, merchants, buyers and government regulators make label design a very responsible bit of production and proofing. I also provided art direction for the photography for many samples. Applications: Illustrator, Photoshop, In-Design

Pie Boxes and Bread Bags

Yummy pie boxes and bread bags in many flavours were a challenge with limited colours to keep the cost down. Application: Illustrator

Illustration and Packaging

I enjoy package design. I find that packaging incorporates all my best skills; design, illustration and production. Packaging is fun. These two samples were from a series I did for Co-op gummy fruit snacks. Application: Illustrator.
